How Toolnest works

  • Your files stay on your device

Image, PDF, file, text and developer tools run inside your browser. Files are read locally and the result is created on your device; nothing is uploaded to our server.

  • Two tools use our server

What Is My IP Address and Website Status Checker cannot work offline: they read your request’s IP address or fetch the site you enter. Neither stores what it sees.

  • No account, no sign-up

Open a tool and use it. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number, and there is no paid tier hiding features.

  • Checked, honest results

Inputs are validated, formulas are shown, and limits are stated on every page. If a tool cannot do something reliably, it says so instead of guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Is Toolnest free to use?

Yes. Every tool is free, with no sign-up and no account. If the site shows advertising, ads are kept clearly separate from the tools and never block a tool or its download.

Are my files and text uploaded anywhere?

No. Calculators, text, developer, image, PDF and file tools run inside your own browser. Files you choose are read locally and the result is created on your device, so they are never sent to our server. Two internet utilities need a server by their nature: What Is My IP Address (our server reads the address your request came from) and Website Status Checker (our server requests the address you type). Neither stores what it sees.

Do the tools work on mobile phones?

Yes. Every page adapts to small screens, buttons are large enough to tap, and image and PDF tools work with your phone’s photo library and Files app. A recent version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, or Samsung Internet is recommended.

How accurate are the calculators?

Each calculator uses the standard published formula, shown on its page with a worked example, and validates inputs to avoid silent mistakes. Results are estimates for planning: banks, schools, and government offices may apply their own rounding, fees, or rules, so confirm important figures with them.

Why does a tool show an error message?

Tools check your input before calculating. An error appears when a value is missing, outside the supported range, or in the wrong format, such as text in a number field or an unsupported image type. The message explains what to change.

Can I use the results for commercial work?

Yes. Text, code, images, and numbers you produce with the tools are yours to use. Please check generated output, such as robots.txt rules or meta tags, before publishing it on a live website.

Which browsers are supported?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Samsung Internet. Very old browsers may not support the image encoders or secure random numbers some tools rely on; the tool tells you when a feature is unavailable.

How can I suggest a new tool or report a problem?

Use the Contact page. Tell us which tool you used, what you entered, and what you expected to see, and we will look into it. Suggestions for new tools are always welcome.
