शेतकऱ्यांच्या प्रश्नावर शिवसेनेने आक्रमक भूमिकाघेत शेतकऱ्यांना पीक विम्याचे पैसे न देणाऱ्या कंपन्या आणि कर्जमाफी न देणाऱ्या बँकाविरोधात ठिकठिकाणी मोर्चे सुरू ठेवलेले आहेत. शिवसेना पक्षप्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे यांनी १७ जुलै रोजी इशारा मोर्चा काढला होता आणि असे आखणी मोर्चे विविध ठिकाणी काढण्यात येतील अशी घोषणा केली होती. त्यानंतर बुधवारी सकाळी मुंबईतील प्रभादेवी येथे आमदार सदा सरवणकर यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली शेतकऱ्यांसाठी भव्य मोर्चा काढण्यात आला.
प्रभादेवी मंदिर येथून पी.बाळू मार्ग येथील आयसीआयसीआय बँक येथे हा मोर्चा धडकला. त्यानंतर प्रतिनिधी मंडळाने शिवसेनेचे निवेदन बँकेच्या अधिकाऱ्यांना दिले. शेतकऱ्यांना कर्जमाफी करून त्याची यादी बँकेबाहेर लावावी अशी मागणी यावेळी शिवसेनेने केली.
